Process for Faux Painting

Step One - Prepare to meet with us

l.a.cameron will be meeting with you in person at the project site. In this meeting you should be prepared to give her an idea of what the scope of the project is. What rooms are you interested in faux painting? Which walls? Is there an existing color palette that you want to inspire the finish. We do custom mix our products giving us the ability to meet your color needs. We have many samples of wall finishes, kitchen cabinet glazing, venetian plasters, wood graining, and other faux painting finishes. So be sure to give us an idea of what you would like to view so we have the correct samples on hand.

Step Two - The Consultation

This meeting will be fun, creative and collaborative. Remember we are trying to give you the faux painting, venetian plaster or wood graining of your dreams that will give you years of enjoyment. So this meeting may run longer than you think depending on the number of rooms and faux painting finishes desired. The artist will have a huge portfolio of custom faux painting finishes for you to peruse. The goal of the meeting is to select your dream faux finish, wood graining, or venetian plaster so l. a. cameron can get a proposal together.

Step Three - Quotation and Contract

From the consultation we gathered all of the information needed to get your faux painting quotation completed. This will be a detailed explaination of the rooms, finishes and costs. This quote also acts as our contract. We are getting closer. The next step is to sign the faux painting contract and pick a date to begin the work. We do require a 50% deposit upon signing the faux painting contract prior to scheduling the calendar. If you are anxious to get started, let's get that date blocked for you.

Step Four - Sample Boards

You have seen many samples at this point but now it is all about your custom finish. This step takes us a lot of time and resources to complete. So generally, we only agree to making sample boards once we have a contract. A sample board may be created for each faux painting design if necessary. This board will be customized based on the colors you have selected with the artist. Once the boards are completed, we will set up a meeting for you to approve the boards. The sample boards are not yours to keep unless you purchase them. So be sure to take care of them.

Step Five - Faux Painting Begins

The artist will protect your home and business with all of the proper drop cloths and painter tape. L.A. Cameron is fully licensed and insured. The faux painting designs are each completed by hand with utmost care and creativity. We will take the time to get the faux painting finish as close to the sample board as possible. However, this is an artistic design done by hand and not machine. So there may be some minor variations due to existing wall texture, lighting, etc...

Step Six - Project Completion

Upon completion, we will walk thru the faux painting designs with you to be sure you are completely satisfied. Once the job is complete, the remaining balance of the contract price is due. This may include any additional projects you included during the job.
